shuriii provides K-12 principals with one collaborative hub to support their school and do their entire job on the go—all from one place. By streamlining operations, strategic planning, and real-time instructional support through a tablet-first interface, we consolidate fragmented tools and data silos into a single platform. De-silo school-wide practices and put cross-classroom collaboration in the palm of your hand.
Get a 360-degree view of school growth without the hunt. We consolidate fragmented spreadsheets, disconnected dashboards, single-point app solutions, and data silos into one unified visual 'wall,' giving you the qualitative and quantitative context you need for holistic student and teacher support. See the full picture in real time—tracking student levels as they shift forward or backwards—and deliver targeted support at the precise moment it matters most.
Keep your team aligned on every student’s academic and mental health journey. Our secure note system provides one place for instant trends and one-click reporting, building a comprehensive "whole-child" history. By integrating notes with classroom walkthroughs and consolidated data walls, principals gain a holistic workspace grounded in equity to drive instructional decisions. This shared context—enriched by automated alerts—ensures shared accountability and a complete picture.
Turn classroom visits into meaningful conversations: shuriii provides an integrated platform for collaborative coaching and teacher walkthroughs, documenting student learning in real-time. It automatically recommends next steps, growth areas, and reports, ensuring principals and instructional coaches stay on the same page for teacher support. Ditch scattered forms for one-click feedback that ensures every teacher gets the right support at the right time, personalized to the way they receive feedback best.
Stop reinventing the wheel and start leading alongside a community of peers. Our platform breaks the isolation of school leadership by connecting you with a secure network of principals across the district and province to share successful resources, interventions, and operational strategies. This community of practice allows you to de-silo your leadership, securely trading the resources and "what's working" insights needed to solve common systemic challenges with a team of experts behind you.
Take the stress out of the hardest part of the year with a tool that builds schedules and supervision shifts based on the rules you set. When it comes to building classes, the system helps you balance students based on their needs, lived experiences, and classroom context. If your enrollment changes, you can reorganize the entire school with a single click rather than weeks of manual work. To top it off, consolidate all your calendars in one place—integrate multi-category scheduling, including parent-teacher interviews.
Manage the professional growth cycle for your entire team (from ECEs and DECEs to teachers, VPs, and office staff) all in one place. The system tracks everything from the first meeting to the final report, sending you reminders so nothing is missed. When you're done, you can export the final reports instantly to send to the district office, eliminating manual paperwork and data entry.
End the "report card shuffle" once and for all. When teachers finish their reports, they appear directly in your dashboard for you to read and comment on digitally. This paperless system lets you see exactly who has submitted their work and who hasn't, allowing you to provide feedback and approve reports in a fraction of the time it used to take with paper stacks.
Know exactly how much money you have left without ever having to "chase" a receipt. Your staff can submit expenses and grant requests directly through the app; once you hit "approve," your master budget updates automatically. This gives you and your office manager a 24/7 view of your school's finances, including internal accounts and external grants, on a single screen.
Principals receive real-time visibility into community health. The platform features a responsive layout with visual indicators and priority filters to instantly highlight spaces in need of support. Integrating holistic student and school data ensures responses are informed by a full understanding of the community's unique needs. Principals can quickly connect with board stakeholders to access additional school resources and foster a culture of belonging where staff, students, and families feel supported.
This customized, private AI ecosystem maps your district's internal data and governance documents, transforming hours of research into seconds of actionable, on-demand clarity. Every output—from sensitive communications to compliance checks—is contextually aligned with your local standards and specific leadership needs. This allows principals to stop searching for information and start leading with on-demand support and district alignment with school, board, and local community news related to the Ministry of Education.

By consolidating interventions and tools, the platform delivers district-aligned next steps, ensuring every classroom has the resources necessary to support both student academic success and well-being, and staff well-being.

shuriii is the one team hub for collaborative pedagogical documentation, merging real-time qualitative and quantitative data to provide a 360-degree view of student academic success, engagement, and belonging, as well as student and family well-being—from the district, school, and classroom levels. Whether a student transfers schools or a new educational support staff member, child and youth worker, coach, teacher, principal, or superintendent steps in, our "One Collaborative Hub" approach ensures no insight or progress is lost, keeping every stakeholder perfectly aligned on every student’s holistic growth. shuriii can pay for itself in the first year through the board savings found by consolidating operations, de-siloing workflows, digitizing paper-based practices, and streamlining team collaboration. Our Return on Investment calculator, featured during our demo, shows exactly how much your district can save based on your key inputs.
We work collaboratively with district leaders to audit their existing edtech stack and ecosystems, identifying fragmented AI tools, legacy systems, and single-point solutions. By consolidating district operations—phasing out underutilized subscriptions, "digital filing cabinets," and tools with high usage but no measurable outcomes—we provide the clarity needed to save districts millions of dollars annually. This approach reduces the overall workload and lightens the burden on school board tech teams. Our strategy is customized to align with district strategic plans, ensuring that redirected savings directly support community and school improvement initiatives.

Non-profit social enterprise Source Code Academy Canada,
Curtis Carmichael, and Dr. Amin Gheibi played a pivotal role
in establishing the groundwork for shuriii's early beginnings.
Curtis Carmichael, BPHE, MEd, PhD Student (CEO): Curtis brings over 10 years of experience as a certified K-12 teacher, special education specialist, and instructional coach. Before shuriii, he founded a coaching and professional development business supporting district leaders, principals, and educators across Canada, the United States, and Brazil—focusing on closing achievement gaps and driving engagement in STEM/STEAM pathways and future skills-based economies. A dedicated advocate for educational equity, Curtis sacrificed an opportunity for a professional football career to cycle across Canada in 60 days to fund after-school programs for low-to-mid-performing districts that had lost funding. As a PhD student in education at Hampton University, specializing in equity-first AI models to close achievement and well-being gaps, Curtis is also an alumnus of the Black HXOUSE program at HXOUSE—the world-renowned think-center co-founded by La Mar Taylor, Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd), and Ahmed Ismail—where the early origins of shuriii were built.
Amin Gheibi, BSc, MSc, PhD (CTO): Amin brings over a decade of IT leadership as a full-stack developer, data scientist, and VP of AI & Engineering. With a PhD in Computer Science specializing in algorithms, he possesses deep expertise across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Amin has a proven track record of growing AI service companies and cyber-secure platforms, developing products used by over 100 million users. Notably, he helped build an AI services company from the ground up and later led a department of 120+ tech and product professionals across 20 teams. His comprehensive mastery of frontend, backend, and AI infrastructure—combined with his background as a former educator—ensures that shuriii’s technology is built for world-class performance, data privacy, and the seamless interconnectivity required for district-wide collaborations.
The expertise behind the product and curriculum stems from a

Meaning #1 - Shuri from Black Panther (Marvel Comics)
Just like in Black Panther, where Shuri learned from Tony Stark's mistakes with Iron Man's flawed AI system that harmed the community through poor programming, our tool is built with a different vision: one that protects rather than harms. As the first private, equity-first AI model designed to desilo districts and drive collaboration in edtech, we are committed to safeguarding and empowering communities. In the Marvel comics, Shuri (portrayed by Letitia Wright) protects Wakanda, an advanced African nation, with the support of Griot, an AI system rooted in culture. Together, Shuri and Griot use the power of AI to drive both protection and progress for their people.
Meaning #2 - It Takes a Village to Raise a Child
shuriii's unique spelling translates to the African Proverb of "It takes a village to raise a child". The essence of shuriii and its "three i's" is rooted in the ancestral connections of the founders' Indigenous and African family heritage. It pays tribute to three elements: the new generation that enters the world for the first time, alongside the adults and elders who will transition into ancestors that are honoured with a deep reverence for their life commitment to ensure all children can grow in a safe and healthy environment.
